Special Notice

On entering the Learning Centres of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUSCS), all students and visitors are required to:

 

  1. Scan the LeaveHomeSafe venue QR code using the LeaveHomeSafe mobile app;
  2. Present their Vaccine Pass to show they have complied with the vaccination requirements.

 

You are also required to (i) Wear a face mask; (ii) Perform temperature screening, and; (iii) Use hand sanitizer. If you have a fever, feel unwell or are undergoing compulsory testing without proof of a negative nucleic acid test result, please refrain from coming to the Learning Centres. Objectives

Business presentations are mostly conducted with the assistance of presentation software. This course is designed for those who would like to make their presentations more energetic and professional with all the PowerPoint special effects and tools such as sound and animation. Participants are capable of fully applying what they have learnt in class on their real business.

1. Introduction to PowerPoint working environment;
2. Creating and producing presentations;
3. Customizing design templates with slide masters;
4. Inserting clip art and graphs, adding special effects and transitional effects;
5. Photo-retouching technique;
6. Capture, Import and Organize various media elements;
7. Synchronize media elements;
8. Using video transitions and effects;
9. Linking external information to the presentation;
10. Use PowerPoint 'Wizards' to quickly create professional-looking presentation;
11. Publish and share the presentation on-line;
12. New features in PowerPoint;
13. Speaking skills, confidence and poise.

Each participant will be provided with one PC terminal for hands-on practice.
