Admission Requirements

(1) have a degree and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience; or
(2) have a post-secondary certificate or diploma with 3 years of relevant working experience; or
(3) be at least 23 years old with 5 years of relevant working experience.

Language Used

Classes will be conducted in Cantonese, supplemented with English. Learning materials and assessments will be in English.

Introduction

This programme is designed to integrate this type of business excellence models with the latest management systems covering quality, environmental, safety and human resources. Meanwhile, the programme also introduces the famous business breakthrough improvement technique - the Six Sigma and Lean framework. Participants who complete the programme will be able to customise integrated management systems for their organisation which embedded with the business excellence practices. Participants also learn the most effective six sigma and lean methodologies that lead to world-class performance for their organisation.

The Programme comprises of 8 modules with a total of 200 contact hours. Participants may normally complete the programme in 14 months on part-time basis.

Professional Recognition - Six Sigma

Students who complete and pass Module 3 - Six Sigma Techniques can apply for professional registration title with Six Sigma Institute (SSI) as "Registered Green Belt-Service", denoted as RSSGB.

Students who complete and pass Module 8 - Organizational & Human Resource Quality can apply for professional registration title with Six Sigma Institute (SSI) as "Registered Lean Leader", denoted as RLL.

林楚洲先生
林楚洲先生擁有多項專業培訓資格,包括企業人才技能認證(TQC)、循環式品質管理認證(PDCA),以及身心語言程式學(NLP)執行師和專業教練資格。林先生擁有香港理工大學優質管理碩士學位,以及城市理工大學輔導學碩士學位。

作為一位資深管理培訓師,林先生在管理領域擁有豐富的實務經驗。他曾在跨國電腦公司擔任亞太區管理職位,負責業務發展、營運及培訓工作。此外,林先生亦是該公司的六式碼黑帶成員,積極推動優質服務,並致力於提升企業的整體質量管理。

林先生曾於多所高等院校教授管理課程,並創立了一家管理培訓公司,為各類機構度身訂製持續進修課程。其學員來自不同背景,包括工程師、在職專業人士、管理階層、政府部門及非牟利團體的隊工等,充分體現了他在培訓領域的廣泛影響力。

A) Online enrollment:

Please submit your application via online. Upon the completion of online enrollment, please send the following documents to scs-bus@cuhk.edu.hk
1. Photocopies of academic qualifications (i.e. transcript & certificate)*;
2. Photocopies of proof of working experience, if applicable (e.g. reference letter or employment letter)*;

B) Enrollment by paper form:

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
1. A duly completed "Enrolment Form for Award-bearing Programmes";
2. Photocopies of academic qualifications (i.e. transcript & certificate)*;
3. Photocopies of proof of working experience, if applicable (e.g. reference letter or employment letter)*;
4. Application Fee of $150 (please refer to "Part B- Methods of Payment" listed in the Enrollment Form);

Exemption Policy

Exemptions may be granted for a module at the discretion of our School if the applicant has successfully completed a module of equivalent content and standard at a recognized tertiary institution or through a professional examination. The application fee is HK$500 per module (an administrative fee of HK$200 included).
For those who would like to apply for course exemption, please submit "Application Form for Course Exemption or Advanced Standing" and supporting documents (i.e. full syllabus and transcripts) for exemption evaluation, if applicable. Application for Course Exemption must be applied before the commencement of the programme. Late application will not be accepted.
The application fee with the deduction of an administrative fee shall be refunded to the applicant for any unsuccessful application. The final decision with regard to exemption rests with the School.

Advanced Diploma Programme in Management for Business Excellence - maximum of 2 exemptions may be given.

Six Sigma Institute

Six Sigma Institute (SSI) is an independent institute of Hong Kong Quality Management Association (HKQMA). Its primary objective is to accredit Six Sigma professionals with recognised knowledge and skills in this application science. SSI aims to work closely with consultants, training institutions and other professional bodies in promoting the theory and application of Six Sigma methodologies through training, examinations and registration of six sigma professionals.

Continuing Education Fund (CEF)
